How To Install Custom OS/ROM On Your Phone?

 Anyone can install a custom ROM without rooting your device.

To install a custom rom you need to have a custom recovery mode installed in your phone.

Because the stock recovery in your phone does not provide much options for the user, whereas a custom rom gives many options like flashing files, taking a nandroid backup.

So u need to flash a custom recovery buy using fastboot mode or a tool and flash it

To use the fast boot mode u ned have the andorid sdk in your pc. There is a minimal version of sdk so you don't to download the entire sdk which wil be some 1.2 gb this slim version has the necessary platform tools and it is only 1.2 mb file size (zip file)

Download the slim android sdk

Then you need to download a custom recovery mode

I prefer using the TWRP recovery mode. Go to this link and find the img file of the twrp which will your device

Then paste this img file inside the platform tools folder which you have extracted from the zip file

Then download a custom rom and gapps for your mobile from XDA

Download and place the file in your phone's sd card

Rename the img file to something smaller and less complex so that you don't make a spelling mistake while executing commands

so give the name like twrp in small letters

now from withing the platform tools folder press shift+RMB and select open command window here

then type the lines

fastboot oem unlock 
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img  
fastboot reboot 

Now when your phone reboots press the volume up or down [ it depends on the device you are using]

You will see the recovery mode take a back up of your present rom in case of failure of rom or bootloop it might help

Then select install zip then browse to the location where you have copied the ROM and GAPPS the slect the rom first and then the gapps

Then swipe to flash

After finishing reboot to system

The first reboot always takes some time than the normal boot however if you face with the boot screen for longer time more than 20 min or 30 min then there might be a possibility of bootloop so better install again or try for another ROM while you restore the back up of your previous rom
